Meta AI Reaches More Countries,
Will Be Available In Indonesian Version
Meta is expanding the launch area of its artificial intelligence technology, Meta AI, to many countries. The product, which is similar to ChatGPT, was recently launched in England, Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Paraguay, and the Philippines.
With the expansion of the operational area, Meta AI can also be used in many languages, not just English. Reporting from Antara, Thursday, October 10, 2024, the Meta AI chatbot can even respond in the typical Filipino Tagalog language.
“This will help users get answers to their questions, content thoughts, and bring their ideas to life,” read the official statement from Meta management when announcing the expansion of Meta AI’s distribution.
Over the next few weeks, Meta AI will provide many other languages, ranging from Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian. With additional language options, Meta’s operations are also said to expand to Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, Vietnam, Yemen, and the United Arab Emirates.
Meta AI services can be used through platforms under the Meta umbrella, namely Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. To use it, users only need to tap the Meta AI icon or type @Meta AI in a chat group. Another easy way to try Meta AI is to visit the meta.ai website
With gradual releases and the addition of new languages, Meta AI should be available in 43 countries with 12 languages, so it can reach more users. Since it was first launched in mid-2024, Meta AI has been used by 500 thousand active users in 22 countries.
Meta AI is powered by Llama 3, the latest large language model (LLM). This chatbot can have text conversations, provide the latest information from the internet, connect sources, and even generate images from text commands. With Meta AI, users can now ask questions and request answers from search engines, similar to Gemini or Bing.
