RI In Emergency Online Gambling, This is Budi Arie’s Message To Meutya Hafid
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia –Budi Arie Setiadi left a message for Meutya Hafid who continued her baton as Minister of Communication and Informatics (Menkominfo) which has now been changed to Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi).
He reminded that online gambling is an activity that destroys the Indonesian economy.
“What is certain is that the Minister said yesterday to media friends that she will continue to eradicate online gambling because online gambling is an activity that destroys the Indonesian economy, yes, that was before,“ said Budi when met before the handover at the Kominfo Office, Monday (10/21/2024).
Budi himself has returned to serve as a minister in the Red and White cabinet. This time he serves as Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop).
According to him, one of the priorities in the Ministry of Cooperatives is the digitalization of cooperatives. So he must continue to cooperate and coordinate with the Ministry of Communication and Digital.
“I want to hand over the position with the new Minister of Communication and Digital because one of my priorities in the Ministry of Cooperatives is the digitalization of cooperatives so I must continue to cooperate and coordinate with the Ministry (of Communication and Digital),” he said.
Today, Monday (10/21/2024), Prabowo inaugurated Meutya as Minister of Communication and Digital at the State Palace. Meutya replaces Budi Arie Setiadi who previously served as Minister of Communication and Informatics.
Meutya explained that the change of the name of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics to the Ministry of Communication and Digital or Komdigi was an effort to answer the challenges of the times.
“Then, I will repeat again that the name of the ministry changed to answer the challenges of the times so it has indeed become a focus according to President Prabowo’s aspirations, we will also emphasize digital so the name Communication and Informatics was changed to Communication and Digital,” said Meutya.
