As The Backbone Of MSME Digitalization, Telkom Wins Detikcom Awards
Jakarta, DETIK COM – Digital technology is an important key to helping the economy in remote areas in Indonesia. PT Telkom Indonesia also won the 2024 detikcom Awards as an appreciation of its struggle.
Telkom received the 2024 detikcom Awards as the Backbone of MSME Digitalization in Remote Areas. This award was given to Andri Sasongko as VP Corporate Telecommunication Telkom at a special event at the Westin Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (10/17/2024).
Telkom is considered to have consistently invested in the development of communication infrastructure in remote areas. This includes a stable internet network and adequate telecommunications access to support MSMEs to operate more efficiently.
“So, this digitalization is indeed Telkom Indonesia’s main program,” said Andri.
Through one of its subsidiaries, Telkomsat, which offers MangoStar broadband services, Telkom enables MSMEs in remote areas to connect to the internet and the global market.
MangoStar’s quality internet access plays a role in expanding the market and increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs which ultimately supports economic growth in remote areas, narrows the digital gap between developed and remote areas, and supports the national digital economy.
In addition, Telkom implements training and mentoring programs for MSMEs, helping them understand technology and how to use the internet for marketing and business operations.
Telkom’s initiatives contribute to empowering the local economy, creating jobs, and improving the quality of life of people in remote areas.
“How Telkom becomes a digital telco is continuously how to develop or equalize digitalization, both in cities and in 3T areas,” said Andri.
Regarding MSMEs, as conveyed by Andri, Telkom is currently also focusing on the business to business (B2B) sector.
“So, it has become Telkom’s determination and program to accelerate the digitalization of MSMEs, both in cities and in the regions,” he concluded.
