Bjorka’s Controversy About BCA Customer Data Leak, Management Immediately Responds

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is claimed to have been hacked by hacker Bjorka. The information was revealed by Bjorka through the X account (formerly Twitter) @bjorkanesiaaa.

In his upload, Bjorka included a screenshot of BCA Mobile access and database. The database contains customer names, account numbers, transaction history and the amount of money stored in the account.

“We have successfully hacked your BCA bank account, you must continue to update your system, This is just a reminder to keep you safe and important for user privacy in your country!,” he wrote via X, quoted Thursday (6/2/2025).

In its statement, BCA confirmed that the information regarding the customer data leak circulating on social media was not true.

“Regarding the information on social media claiming that BCA customer data has been spread, we convey that the information is not true,” wrote BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn.

Currently, BCA ensures that customer data remains safe.

BCA urges loyal customers to always be careful of individuals who impersonate BCA and various fraudulent modes that aim to find out customer data.

Customers are advised to never share confidential banking personal data such as BCA ID, password, One Time Password (OTP), and Personal Identification Number (PIN), with anyone.

Customers are also expected to change their PIN and password periodically.
