China Responds to Israel’s New ‘Genocide’ in Rafah, Urges This

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – China urges Israel to stop attacking Rafah. This statement was issued by Beijing after the Israeli army said it had taken operational control of the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt.

“China firmly calls on Israel to heed the major demands of the international community, stop attacking Rafah, and do everything it can to avoid a more serious humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian, as quoted by AFP, Tuesday ( 7/5/2024).

China also expressed great concern over Israel’s plans to launch a ground military operation against Rafah. War and violence, as the country calls it, cannot fundamentally solve problems and cannot bring about true security.

China is not the only country that has asked Israel to stop attacks on Palestinians in Rafah. The United States (US), UN, WHO and other multinational organizations have urged Israel not to carry out attacks on Rafah, warning of huge humanitarian consequences.
