Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – X L Axiata also spoke about Starlink’s entry into Indonesia. The satellite service is said to have a different market.

“In our opinion, their market is different, inland areas with logistics problems, security problems, heavy maintenance. Having a unique market cannot be reached well,” said Director & Chief Technology Officer of XL Axiata, I Gede Darmayusa, met at XL Axiata Tower, Jakartaq, Thursday (25/4/2024).

XL is also known to have used satellite-based services for its backbone. According to Gede, Starlink can help reduce costs to make it cheaper for companies.

“We hope that [Starlink] can be a solution to replace more expensive satellite costs,” he said
