The New Version of Kindle Has
A Color Screen, Here’s the Price
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia –The Kindle has a new look. Unlike before, the latest e-reader device has a color screen.
The device called the Kindle Colorsoft has a screen that ensures colors do not appear faded or pixelated. The appearance will remain the same even if the user enlarges the content on the screen, quoted from CNBC International, Thursday (10/17/2024).
Amazon claims that its latest Kindle has a battery that lasts for weeks.
Amazon is selling the Kindle Colorsoft for US$279 (Rp. 4.3 million). Pre-orders have been opened and will be shipped starting October 30, 2024.
In addition, the Kindle Scribe also gets an update. This time the device has a new note-taking feature called Active Canvas for users to be able to directly take notes directly on the e-book page.
Notes can also be added to the margins of the book. So the writing can be hidden to be read again later.
The Kindle Scribe also uses generative AI for other features. Namely the feature to summarize note pages.
Amazon explained that the feature uses Bedrock, a software for users to access large language models from Amazon and other companies.
The device can also be ordered and will only be shipped on December 4, 2024. Amazon sells it for US$399 (Rp 6.1 million).
Kindle also launched the Kindle Paperwhite which is priced at US$159 (Rp 2.4 million). There is also the 12th Generation Kindle for US$109 (Rp 1.6 million).
