Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The United Nations (UN) has revealed the activities of a powerful criminal network in Southeast Asia. They are said to be using the Telegram application to commit crimes.The report revealed that they hacked a number of data including credit card details, passwords and browser history. Meanwhile, for money laundering using crypto exchanges.They found a lot of money that was successfully stolen from the hack. “We move 3 million USDT (Rp. 46 billion) stolen from abroad per day,” said a report from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), quoted from Reuters, Tuesday (8/10/2024).The report added that its findings were strong evidence that the illegal market had shifted to Telegram. The UN said it continues to target criminal groups in the Southeast Asia region.UNODC Deputy Representative, Benedikt Hofmann spoke out about crimes on Telegram.
