Even Google also gives a warning that there are five types of files that are requested to be deleted from Android phones, citing The Sun.
1. Photos
Photo and video files can take up a lot of phone storage space. This type of file can be deleted, or it can also be backed up first to free up phone storage space.
Here are the steps to delete photos on an Android phone:
-Open the Google Photos application
-Then, log in to your Google Account
-Next, tap and hold the photo or video you want to delete
-At the top of the screen, tap the Delete button.
2. Media
You also need to delete media, namely movies to music files. Enter the application that has media content, such as Play Music or Play Movies & TV. Click the settings menu and go to manage downloads, then press the item you want to download and press the delete button.
3. Applications
You must have many applications on your phone. However, not all of them are used regularly. Well, you can delete this application to free up storage space. After all, in the future you can download it again if needed.
Google also recommends clearing the cache and application data. Clearing the cache means deleting temporary data, while deleting data storage will permanently delete data stored in the application.
4. Auto archive
If you can’t delete the application, what you can do is archive the application automatically. Open the Play Store and go to the Settings menu. Next, select the general option and enable or disable automatic archiving.
5. Download Files
You also sometimes forget files that have been downloaded but are no longer used. Delete downloaded files that are no longer used to free up storage space on your cellphone.
