Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia –Google has just released a new AI-based feature in Google Photos. The waiting list to access the feature has also been open since last month.Ask Photos is to submit more complex requests to the photo library. The feature is available as a new tab in the Photos application replacing Search, quoted Wednesday (9/10/2024).Searches can still be done in the Photos application. However, users must first submit a request to Ask Photos.The page reports that users will see how the feature works when they first open it. Including what data is owned and what access is needed.The feature will also confirm a number of details. For example, using the correct name for people, setting relationships and the frequency of someone’s appearance in the library.According to 9to5Google, Ask Photos works well when answering requests related to people and places. On the other hand, it is not so good for events or objects.The 9to5Google page reports that the Ask Photos feature was launched this month after the waiting list was opened last September. Limited reports about the feature have been seen in the last few weeks, but recently it has been more widespread.Only those who have entered the waiting list will get the Ask Photos feature. Google has not made it available to all its users yet.Registration is still available for now. However, it is only limited to United States (US) users for now.
